In reference to this position the mission for the Children’s Ministry Director would be to help children and their families follow Jesus. This role would provide leadership, oversight, and support to enable the spiritual growth of children (birth - 5th grade) and the resources for the development of ministry team members.

Requirements:
A person who is a committed follower of Jesus Christ, having declared Jesus as Lord, repented of sins, and submitted to baptism.
A person who loves and is passionate about kids.
A person who feels called by God to work with children.
A person with experience serving in a Children’s Ministry, and/or is pursuing further education and a career focused on children.
Reports to: Senior Pastor
Part-time position: 10-12 hours per week.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Develop a supportive and inviting relationship with families with children, for both those inside and outside of the Living Creek family.
2. Recruit, train, and develop volunteers for the Children’s Ministry who are passionate and gifted for working with Children.
3. Plan, schedule, and oversee all volunteers and classes serving the Children’s Ministry programming during Sunday morning worship services.
4. Order, prepare, and distribute materials needed by the Children’s Ministry team for all programming.
5. Plan and staff any special programs for Good Friday, Christmas Eve, or other special services as needed.
6. Annually submit and oversee a Children’s ministry budget including the necessary costs to function, and a wish-list of items if funds were available.
7. Submit all recruited team members' names to the church office to conduct background checks on candidates.
8. Plan and promote fellowship opportunities for families with children outside of regular Sunday Morning worship times. (A goal of 8 or more events per year).
9. Be responsible for having any technology needed for all teachers and classes to be provided and ready to go.
10. Provide a monthly Elders Report for each month’s Elders meeting.
Additional Expectations:
1. Work as a team player with the rest of the ministerial and support staff.
2. Attend weekly staff meetings as schedule permits.
3. Regularly attend adult worship when possible within the schedule, at times be available to make announcements in person, or by video to the congregation to share the vision and needs of the Children’s Ministry.
4. Shepherd and support families with children who are going through special needs due to hospitalization or family crisis.
