Student Ministry Internship 2021Job Description Summary

We are seeking to invite 2 college student interns to join us for our summer student ministry internship - one male and one female. 

Objective:  To learn and practice organizational, administrative, programming, and leadership roles of student ministry while supporting the greater student ministry vision and goals at Faith Bible Church.

Duration:-Full-time, 12 weeks. Beginning the week of May 16, 2021 or approximate (to be finalized upon hire).

Compensation:-$3,000 (approx. $1,000/month)-A housing arrangement can also be provided by the church

Internship Areas of Focus & Responsibilities
In addition to supporting and developing the intern, this internship will also provide support and strengthen our Student Ministry vision and mission: “To relentlessly pursue the mission of Jesus by relationally multiplying disciples that lead to Gospel transformation. We will do this by enabling students to meet Jesus, know Jesus, and serve like Jesus.”

Personal Equipping & Discipleship

  • Read & discuss ministry-related books and content with Pastor Eric
  • Regular participation in FBC worship services & Crossroads student ministry
  • Regular engagement in personal Bible reading, study, and prayer time
  • Attend weekly staff meetings & prayer times
  • Participate in adult leader meetings, as scheduled

Ministry Opportunities

  • Share in hands-on leadership and preparation of our Wednesday night large group student gatherings, which may consist of, but not limited to:
  • Set up and tear down
  • Teaching, small group leadership, leading games, etc
  • Encouraging students to attend, participate, and invite their friends
  • Involvement in MS or HS Sunday morning teaching and leadership
  • Relationship building and investment with students: mentoring, hanging out, attending student events/activities, etc.
  • Participation in one of two summer HS mission trips (including preparation/training)
