- Oversee and implement programming for students to ensure Appropriate Independence™
- Supervise emergency response staff and student life staff and provide training, communication, and direction to student life area staff by regularly conducting meetings with staff.
- Oversee area including supplies, cleanliness, documentation, consistency, progression, assessments, and systems
- Enforce the regulations in the Student Handbook
- Manage behavioral issues among students and help implement or develop behavior support plans as needed, as well as communicate incident/plan with appropriate staff
- Respond to emergency situations when not present and cover shifts as needed
- Assist in hiring, staffing, and scheduling
- Instruct classes as assigned
- Attend faculty/staff meetings as assigned

Oversees All Aspects of Student Life For SC Students:
- Pass medications and train students in personal medication and health
- Provide assistance and hands-on adaptive skill set training to students
- Train and assist students with meal planning, preparation, and grocery shopping
- Complete required documentation, assessments, and communication
- Assist students with finances, personal care, and health management

Interactions:
- Work effectively with team members.
- Maintain positive and supportive relationships with students and their families
- Treat each student with respect and dignity
- Communicate in a courteous and professional manner
- Actively participate in trainings and meetings
- Consistently demonstrate Christ-likeness in actions and words

Qualifications:

- Born Again Christian belonging to a bible believing church
- Bachelor degree is preferred; degree in Education / Special Education is a plus
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is favorable
- Must be an effective communicator, including verbal and written communication
- Must possess strong organizational skills
- Must possess a high-level of professionalism, including the ability to maintain confidentiality

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty listed above. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Employee must complete a TB skin test and a physical exam which certifies freedom from communicable disease within 90 days prior to beginning employment. Medical documentation of TB skin test results and physical exam must be submitted to the Human Resources Department prior to beginning employment.
