Job Description

They say by “failing to plan, you plan to fail.” When was the last time your plans were able to impact eternity?

As a Contingency Preparedness Coordinator, you will help create plans and resources to care for the needs of Bible translation workers in conflict or crisis situations.

Today, over 2000 people groups, 150 million people, still don’t have the Bible translated into their languages! Wycliffe USA believes the Word of God can transform lives when people hear it in their own language, and we urgently need you to join the team!

Job Location: Mediterranean

Every day is different! One day you might develop training materials, perform risk analysis, and help develop crisis management procedures. Later you could create resources and advise administration on member care issues.

This job might be for you if…

  • You have earned a Bachelor's degree in counseling or psychology.
  • You are trained in the dynamics of interpersonal conflict and how to deal with it biblically.
  • You are familiar with the use of cross cultural stress evaluation tools such as the CernySmith Indicator (Humanitarian) and in assisting staff with stress management strategies.
  • You are empathetic, analytical, and proactive.

It’s a bonus if…

  • You have served overseas before.

Important Note

In becoming a member of a faith-based organization, you will receive extensive training and resources in partnership development so that gifts given to the preference of your ministry account are provided for your salary, benefits, and ministry related expenses.

Even though this job is located overseas, you must be legally authorized to work in the United States as per U.S. employment laws.
