Position Summary: Under the general supervision of the Director of Residential Life, provides weekend, evening and/or daytime supervision along with providing creative outlets for resident’s leisure time.
Reports to: The Director of Residential Life, and is accountable to the Chairman of the Personnel Commission of SFS.
General Responsibilities and Duties:
Maintains a physical presence in the home during scheduled evening or weekend hours.
During assigned hours, works to ensure a positive atmosphere in the home.
Follows the individualized life skill plans and supervises the residents in performing light
cooking, and personal care.
Ensures that residents treat each other and staff with respect; resolves conflicts that may arise during on-site hours utilizing existing plans; follows the individualized behavior plans for residents.
Provides creative leisure time options for residents.
Performs related work as required.
Organizational and Communication Duties:
Education and Experience:
Two years of college-level education, and 2 years of experience working with persons with cognitive disabilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be an approved SFS driver in accordance with the SFS Transportation policy.
