As a critical member of the Information Technology team, the Web Development Manager serves as a strategic partner between IT and targeted business functions for large scale, strategic business and IT initiatives. In this role, you’ll manage and supervise all development activities related to our organization’s external and internal websites while ensuring overall technical excellence. This position requires strong customer focus with excellent communication and problem-solving skills and must be able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, initiative and good judgment. Responsibilities Partner with Ortho Molecular Products departments in enabling business objectives Align Marketing requirements with web architecture to support a growing international business Supervise and mentor the web development team Create and maintain the Web portion of the annual IT Tactical Plan, Strategic Plan and 10-year Technology Roadmap Architect for Ortho Web Sites including security and integration with other cloud-based systems Produce or update appropriate design artifacts such as use cases, data flow, sequence, etc. Espouse best practices of software development, with a focus on clean, efficient, and well-documented code Work within Ortho Project Management structure and ensure project documents are complete, current and accessible Responsible for operational support of external and internal web sites including periodic system updates Ensure technical implementation meets our high standards of scalability, availability, resiliency, and security Evaluate solution options: buy versus integrate versus build Enable web analytics code for metrics gathering and reporting Qualifications B.S. Computer Science/Information Systems/Business Systems or commensurate experience 3+ years’ experience leading and motivating a web development team 7-10 years of experience in web development for both desktop and mobile Excellent understanding of web technologies, integration practices and general security including data protection practices Demonstrated experience designing web architectures including e-commerce web applications Excellent written and verbal communication skills including interpersonal and customer service skills Mitigates team conflict and communication problems.
