JOB TITLE:    Resident Supervisor

STATUS:  Part-time (academic year), Hourly, Non-Exempt, Non-Benefited

Male:  January 10th, 2020 and/ or August 7th, 2020

Female: August 7th, 2020

PURPOSE:  The Resident Supervisor position at Alaska Christian College advises and serves the on-campus student body while living in community with the students; disciplines and counsels students when necessary in conjunction with the Director of Student Services; meets transportation needs and provides social/recreational opportunities for students in a Christian atmosphere; supervises Student Resident Assistants and may assist in the supervision of students enrolled in the student worker program. The RS is a support to the ACC student and staff community and provides mentorship, support, and guidance for the well-being of the campus community. Housing and Meals are provided in this job.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Advises and serves the on-campus student body while living in community with the students.
2.  Enforce rules and regulations.
3. Be available to students when on duty.
4. Mediate interpersonal problems between residents.
5.  Disciplines and counsels students when necessary in conjunction with the Director of Student Services.
6.  Leads Bible studies or mentor groups where applicable.
7.  Provides social/recreational opportunities for students in a Christian atmosphere.
8.  Provides transportation needs for the students.
9.  Makes regular rounds to ensure that residents and areas are safe and secure.
10. Participates and assists in implementation of ministry trips and student leaders.
11. Develop standard operating procedures (SOP) manual for the RS position.
12. Serves in other areas where the RS desires growth and experience with the approval of the Director of Student Services depending on the type of experience desired.
13. Other duties as assigned.
