● First Baptist of Medina Ohio (pronounced me-DYE-na) is located 45 minutes outside of
Cleveland, and just outside of the Akron metro area. It is a thriving, family-friendly community
with a need for Jesus.
● The church property is shared during the week by another ministry, Medina Christian
Academy. This year the academy has grown over 300 students, and is in the process of
renovating and moving into a nearby facility. The church and the academy overlap with
each other, both in mission and people resources.
● Our church is led by five pastors (including the senior pastor), with a supporting staff of
five additional individuals that assist in the weekly responsibilities of the ministry.
● FBC Medina supports 20 missionaries, both here in the US, and across the world.
We support another 11 Christian organizations that are serving our local community and
the world. Our church family greatly desires to continue investing in our missionaries,
and growing their support, and their ministry reach.
● According to our most recent survey, church members indicated that they desired a
senior pastor who knows and can teach God’s word, who communicates with honesty
and a senior pastor that loves God’s people well.
● The church family at FBC Medina is passionate about loving people well, through our
small group ministry, Discipleship Groups (d-groups), meal ministry, Bible study groups,
our food pantry and volunteering with local outreach ministries. We know there’s room to
grow, and church members want help knowing how and where to best apply our time
and resources.
