Grace Church is seeking a Senior Pastor who is gifted in preaching, evangelism, and advancing the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
Description of us:
Grace Church is a church that aspires to make more and better followers of Christ in everything we do. Our denominational affiliation is with the General Association of Regular Baptists. We are committed to the unapologetic teaching of God's Word through our weekly worship service, vehement prayer, personal and family growth by connecting to ardent Life Groups, and having intentional mission focused Jesus like serving throughout our community. We seek opportunities to love a lost world while meeting their physical and spiritual needs. In 2020, we had an average Sunday attendance of 154. We currently have 135 active members with many of them being new younger families with kids and young professionals. Qualifications and Requirements:
1) He shall qualify for his office according to the Biblical qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
2) Must have minimum 3 years experience as a lead pastor or commensurate position.
3) Must have a Master of Divinity from an accredited seminary. Exception may be made for a superlative candidate.
4) Ordination preferred but not necessary.
5) Must have a proven ministry track record that demonstrates spiritual gifting in evangelism and teaching.
6) Must be in agreement with the church's constitution.
General Responsibilities:
The core responsibilities of the Senior Pastor is the teaching and preaching of God's Word, supervision of church staff, and overseeing the ministries of the church.
Essential Ministry Responsibilities:
1) Cast and live out God's vision for the congregation.
2) Be faithful in prayer for the congregation and the community.
3) Proclaim clearly the truth of God's Word and protect the church from false teaching.
4) Have spiritually mature members of the church lovingly hold you accountable and help you in your daily spiritual walk with Jesus.
5) Be held accountable to your own preaching.
6) Serve on the elder board, being a voting member except on the issues of the Senior Pastor's salary or dismissal.
7) Maintain a healthy and God-honoring balance in his personal, family and ministry responsibilities, and be a positive, proactive witness within our community outside the church.
8) Lead the church staff, discern their giftedness, and equip them to lead well
9) Hold leaders of ministry teams accountable for their responsibilities.
10) Be involved in promoting biblical financial stewardship in the church.
11) Support the annual budgeting process in conjunction with the elders and stewardship team in the preparation of budget requests for ministries and oversee their expenditures in relation to the approved budget.
12) Set a Godly example in sharing the gospel to people in his relational world.
13) Be a member of a Life group.
14) Provide pastoral counseling to those in need.
15) Preach in worship services.
16) Conduct communion and baptismal services as needed.
17) Conduct marriage ceremonies and funeral services as needed.
18) Provide and facilitate a home or hospital visit for those in need.
Compensation:
Salary and benefits package is negotiable depending upon experience.
