Ebenezer Mennonite Church is an independent evangelical church. Our vision is to Reach, Teach & Care. EMC emphasizes strong Biblical teaching with practical application. Our purpose as a church is to encourage a vibrant life of worship and to build strong Christian character through Christ-centered Bible teaching. We encourage each person to participate in expressing the love of God to our neighbors, community, and the world.

Ebenezer enjoys a lasting heritage of faithfulness to the exposition of the divinely inspired scriptures.  Built in 1840, the predecessor of Ebenezer Mennonite Church was simply known as the "Swiss Church." In 1846, the "Swiss Mennonite Church" was constructed. The church has been enlarged and updated in 1883, 1928, 1964, 1979, and 2001.

Ebenezer maintains a strong history of giving toward world missions. More than 50 active missionaries or missionary families, representing 47 mission agencies, are presently supported.

Church membership as of 12/31/2020 was 545. Average Sunday morning attendance (pre-CoVid-19) was 349. Church giving in 2020: General expense: $526K; Building: $101K; Missions Budget: $313K; Christian Education: $32K; Benevolence: $6K.

The church is located in rural Allen County, Ohio. We are two miles west of Bluffton, Ohio, a university town of 4,080. We are approximately 60 miles from Toledo, Dayton, and Ft. Wayne. Our major shopping areas are Lima and Findlay, both 22 miles from Bluffton.
