The congregation of Immanuel Baptist Church is looking to add a full-time staff pastor to the ministry.  The elders are currently accepting resumes for the position.  There are currently two full-time staff pastors, three non-staff elders, as well as an administrative assistant, and a custodial and maintenance staff.  The two full-time staff pastors include an Elder of Preaching and Vision and an Elder of Family Life.  We are searching for a pastor who will complement them in biblical qualifications and skills. 

This position is a full-time staff pastor position that will also be an elder of the church.  There are various discipleship opportunities in the church.  The search process is motivated by the biblical qualifications and character of an elder more than a specific job description.  Rather than force square pegs through round holes and tell an applicant they will be tasked with children's ministry, young adult ministry, senior’s ministry, or outreach ministry we are seeking a biblical elder who will join the team as a constructive complement to the overall work of discipleship.  Throughout the process of vetting a candidate and seeing their gifts, a more specific job description will take shape.  The elders will work together to assess each job description to determine how each man's gifts will be best used for the ongoing discipleship of the congregation.
