Children’s Ministry Director

Overview:  The HSBC Children’s Ministry Director has oversight of all programs related to children from birth through 5th Grade

Responsibilities:

Recruit, train, and oversee Children’s Ministry volunteers

Provide resources and training for families as they seek to disciple their children

Oversee Sunday morning Children’s Ministry activities as well as Children’s Ministry special events

Oversee Awana program – Age 3 through 12th Grade

Work with ministry staff team implementing Children’s Ministry into the full scope of HSBC ministry

Expectations:

Demonstrate a vibrant, growing relationship with Jesus Christ

Be a faithful, active member of Hannaford Street Bible Church

Agree with church doctrinal and mission statements

Support other church ministries and staff

Attend weekly staff meetings

Set regular office hours (times to be agreed upon with the Senior Pastor)

Position Status:  Part-time or Full-time depending on availability and experience/skill set of the candidate

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

College degree in Children’s Ministry, Child Development, or Elementary Education preferred

Experience in Children’s Ministry preferred

Other combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case by case basis
