Bethesda Church

Bethesda Church was established in North Huron in 1943. In 1972 a new worship center was built in Southeast Huron. In 1974 an adjacent building was constructed for Sunday School rooms and a large gymnasium. In 1990 a new $710,000 worship center was constructed next to the existing center. In 2003 a large former roller skating rink building was purchased for the Souled Out Youth Ministry.

Formal membership is 243 with average Sunday morning attendance averaging between 280 and 330. Bethesda is affiliated with the Mennonite Brethren Conference.

Church family age demographics consist of a healthy range of many young families with 2 to 5 children, to the elderly. The average age is estimated in the late 40's.

Ministry activities include a long-running successful AWANA program which began in 1975, Life Groups, Sunday School, Souled Out Youth Ministry, numerous women's and men's bible study groups, SAM's (Senior Adult Ministries) group, newcomers assimilation program, Sunday night services and Wednesday night prayer meetings, and also in recent years, numerous short term regional and overseas mission service experiences have occurred to places such as Mexico, Romania, and Liberia.
