Somers Baptist Church, a Bible-based church in North Central Connecticut, is looking to the Lord for renewal.  Over the last two years we have been working with a former pastor serving as an interim pastor. During that time we have renewed our physical facility and have renewed our commitment to being part of the growth process.   Over this past year we have enjoyed the ministry of a younger associate pastor who has blended our worship service with some contemporary music and has been instrumental in bringing in some younger families.  The associate pastor has taken employment in the area and is willing to stay on in a part-time bi-vocational way.  We are looking to the Lord for a pastor who is committed to Paul’s charge to Timothy in 2 Timothy 4: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction… keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.
