We are a independent Bible church in a small town in rural Indiana situated near Taylor University. We have a warm and loving congregation looking to grow and develop. We are well established with comfortable facilities and no debt. We are interested in someone who would preach Biblical messages and has the ability to incorporate positive changes to enhance outreach and growth.
Job Description:
We are a Christ-centered, Spirit-led body of conservative, relaxed, minimally liturgical, non-
denominational believers in Christ looking for a Shepherd to serve us in Holy Spirit directed
guidance in impacting the community for Christ, equipping the saints to serve in their
individual spheres of influence to the glory of God, and working jointly with the Elders to
form and institute ideas to reach the lost for Christ.
Our Pastor will serve collaboratively with the Church Board in the ministry of and decision
making for the Church and in overseeing the annual activities calendar. (ie: VBS, Camp, Fall
& Christmas outreaches, etc)
Our Pastor will preach at every Sunday Morning Worship service a biblical message based on
the authority, sufficiency, infallibility, and inerrancy of Scripture.
Our Pastor will have under his direction all public services to which the Church prescribes or
as may change dependent upon the Holy Spirit (current: Sunday Morning Worship, Sunday
School, Children’s Church, Sunday evening, Wednesday Family Ministry, Weekly Prayer,
Monthly nursing home, Quarterly Men’s Mission, every other year at local festival).
Our Pastor, with assistance from the Elders, will visit the sick from the Church and the
community, be available to visit individuals of the Church, and strive to become
influential for Christ within the community.
Our Pastor, with assistance from the Elders, will conduct communion services at least
quarterly. He will officiate baptismal services and, as requested, funerals, and biblical
marriage ceremonies.
Our Pastor will provide biblical prenuptial and other counseling as appropriate.
Our Pastor will be the primary Church contact (ie phone calls, texting, church email) unless
acceptable coverage is planned with the Elders for stated time periods.
