New Beginnings Bible Church

NBBC is an independent Bible church formed to be a lighthouse of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its community and around the world. Founded in 1957 as Brentwood Bible Church, the church was renamed in 2017 when relocated to Overland, MO.

Our mission vision, purpose statement, and mission statements can be summarized by Jesus' words in Matthew 28:18-20: "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you."

We have two buildings connected by a short outside walkway. The larger building accommodates the worship center, nursery, five classrooms, a fellowship hall with an AWANA circle, and the kitchen. The pastor's office, secretary's office, library, and meeting rooms are in the smaller building. The worship center has a capacity of 70-100 people. Currently our attendance is about thirty on a Sunday morning.

Children’s ministries have been emphasized over the years. We focus this outreach through AWANA (3 years old through high school), children’s church, and Sunday school. A few children require transportation which we arrange among ourselves.

Missions has been an integral part of our church since formation. Over the years at least fifty-five members of the church family have served in home and foreign missions. Currently we prayerfully and financially support thirteen missionary families and seven mission organizations. We continue to welcome missionaries to share their ministry with us throughout the year and at our missions conference.

Our members are people with a vision to see New Beginnings Bible Church truly be a lighthouse to our community. A large majority of our membership actively serves in various ministries, many with more than one responsibility. We are praying for a pastor and his family who will join us in this quest as we see God work in us and through us.
