I am in need of an elder care sitter for my 95 yr old mother during periodic times when my husband and I need to be out and do not want to leave her alone. We live in a secure condo building close to Moody Bible Institute. Most of these engagements would be 2-3 hours and several times a month, most likely more evening hours than daytime. I am hoping to build up a list of 2 or 3 individuals interested in this kind of work and then I  would call as needed to check on availability (similar to babysitting).

My mom is able to walk on her own with a walker and can manage around the condo pretty well, but she is getting more confused and frail and I no longer want her to be alone for a few hours at a time.

She watches TV movies but also likes to play cards  and does not need constant interaction. She ends up sleeping a great deal of the time. 

I would prefer a woman (just in case, she needs help changing) and will pay $20./hr  

I also have a dog (23 lbs) - very friendly, but would need someone who likes dogs.
