Summary of position:
Our church body is in need of a Spirit filled man to lead as pastor. Grace Community Church is seeking a pastor who loves Jesus Christ, is committed to the expository teaching and preaching of the Scriptures, and has a heart for discipleship. Our church membership is 54 adults and the average number for church attendance is 60. In addition to presiding over Sunday morning and evening worship services, and Wednesday evening Prayer meeting, the Full Time Pastor will be available for all other pastoral duties including but not limited to:
The Pastor will serve as an Elder of the Church. In addition to those duties, the Pastor shall:
- Feed the flock by reading, expounding, and preaching the Word;
- Administer the ordinances;
- Prepare candidates for church membership by instruction in the Word, and to guide the
educational/discipleship program of the church;
- Visit officially the people, devoting special attention to the poor, the sick, the afflicted, and the dying;
- Pray for and with his flock;
- Serve as moderator of the congregation or designate an elder alternate.
Employment Status:
This is a full-time position, with benefits.
Required Qualifications:
- The pastor must be able to teach and equip the saints for ministry as presented in Ephesians 4: 11-13.
- Education: Masters of Theology, or equivelant.
- Minimum of 3 years pastoral experience.
