Founded in 1956, Shoaff Park Baptist Church, Fort Wayne, IN is an independent Baptist church situated next to a large city park within residential and commercial neighborhoods. It is two miles from the campuses of Purdue University-Fort Wayne, IVY Tech and Concordia Lutheran Seminary. The debt-free church building has a sanctuary seating ~200, fellowship hall, classrooms & nursery along with a new garage/pavilion and large parking lot.

Fort Wayne was named after Gen. “Mad” Anthony Wayne and is the second largest city in Indiana. It has consistently been listed as one of the Best Cities in America and #1 “Most Affordable Cities” in America.1 Fort Wayne is home to Sweetwater, Vera Bradley, Do It Best Hardware, Aunt Millie’s Bakery as well as hosting a large GM truck assembly plant and other major manufacturing companies.

The SPBC congregation of approximately 50 adults describe themselves as warm and friendly who desire to glorify God through their lives, their worship, and their studying of Scripture. Our music focuses on hymns, both modern and ancient. Our mission is both local and global, supporting eight missionary units serving around the world. Our members also serve locally at the International House and the Community Harvest Foodbank.

Following the retirement of our most recent pastor, we are seeking a new shepherd who will lead us, care for us and feed us God’s Word.
