Lake Hills Baptist Church (LHBC) began out of the vision of Calvary
Baptist Church in Highland, IN to plant a church in the Lake Hills area.
This became a reality in August of 1960 when LHBC held its first
service. Remarkably, the congregation has been served for the
past fifty years by only two Lead Pastors: Bruce Bigelow
(1973-2005) and Phil Humber (2005-present).

LHBC is now a 62-year-old inter-generational, Bible-believing
congregation that exists to glorify God by developing fully devoted
followers of Jesus Christ in their families, in their community, and
around the world. The ministry is supported by a dedicated staff,
as well as three functional and well-maintained buildings on an
expansive campus that even includes a Disc Golf course. The most
recent addition to the campus is a state-of-the-art Student Center.

While grateful for all that God has done over the past six plus decades,
congregational leadership recognizes the need for the congregation
to develop and activate a passion to have a bigger impact in the
community by making more disciples of Jesus Christ. They hope the
next Pastor will help them do so.
