Sekolah Pelita Harapan (meaning school of light and hope) is an international K-12 Christian school group with five schools in Jakarta, Indonesia. The schools began in 1993 in response to a need for quality education founded upon Biblical Christian truth.

SPH is accredited through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). It runs internationally certified curriculum – the International Baccalaureate (IBO) and Cambridge Programs. SPH emphasizes the Indonesian identity and culture as well as living in a global society. Our comprehensive academic, artistic, sporting, music, Biblical foundations and community service programs are designed to produce high quality graduating students.

Teachers are recruited locally and internationally and provided with significant and regular professional development. Compensation is competitive, including salary, a local living allowance, modest free furnished housing, utilities, medical coverage, transportation to Indonesia, transportation from Indonesia at the completion of a two-year contract, a retirement scheme, visa and work permit costs, paid Indonesian income taxes, free education for school-age children at SPH, and possible employment opportunities for spouses.
