Community Information

Information is provided for Forest Park and the adjacent communities of Oak Park, River Forest, and Berwyn.  Other nearby cities/towns include Maywood, North Riverside, Riverside, Melrose Park, Elmwood Park, River Grove, and Chicago (Austin and Galewood neighborhoods).

Schools

Public schools: At the elementary/middle school level, Forest Park, Oak Park, and River Forest each has its own district: Forest Park SD 91, Oak Park SD 97, and River Forest SD 90, respectively.  At the high school level, Forest Park is part of the Proviso Township High Schools District 209, and students attend either Proviso East High School in Maywood or Proviso Mathematics and Science Academy, in Forest Park.  Students in Oak Park and River Forest attend Oak Park and River Forest High School (District 200), located in Oak Park.

Private/parochial schools: There are numerous private and parochial schools in the area, including several Catholic grade schools, a Lutheran grade school in River Forest (Grace Lutheran), Walther Christian Academy (middle/high school) in Melrose Park, Fenwick High School (Catholic/Dominican) in Oak Park, and Trinity High School (Catholic/Dominican; girls only) in River Forest.

Colleges/Universities: Concordia University-Chicago and Dominican University are both located in River Forest. The local community college, Triton College, is located in River Grove.
