Calvary Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist Church located in the small rural community of Monticello, IL, population 6000, in the heart of central Illinois.  We are known for our President Lincoln history, scenic parks and extensive  recreation,  top 50 Illinois school system, excellent healthcare facilities, state champion athletic teams, and our historic downtown square and unique eateries to name just a few.  Calvary has about 130 attending members, including 20+ youth. We are within driving distance of several college campuses including top notch research and development facilities in the areas of healthcare, agriculture and technology.  Visitors often point to our welcoming activities and strong biblical teachings as the reason for them staying at Calvary.  Activities include Sunday School and Services each Sunday, Wednesday meals and bible study open to the community, and children's and youth activities on Sundays, Wednesdays and any other time we can find a good reason to get together and have fun.  We are a family church ages 0-90+ and focus on finding ways to serve and love our community.  Pastor Josh has been at Calvary for 6 years and we are currently in a search for a Minister of Youth.
