GraceWay Church

65 13th Street Prairie du Sac, WI 53578

GraceWay Church History

In 1972 a group of 20 believers started to meet together for prayer and Bible study
and in 1973 established Sauk Prairie Evangelical Free Church. The church
purchased over three acres of land and built the original church building, which
was completed in 1975. Two additions were built in 1989 and 2000 that provided
a gym, fellowship area, kitchen, classrooms, offices, and a new sanctuary. In
2016 the church changed its name to GraceWay Church to better reflect who we
are and our mission in the community. We are a member of the Forest Lakes
District of the EFCA, which consists of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.

Purpose - Our purpose is to honor and glorify God by fulfilling Christ’s command
to make disciples of all the nations. Therefore, we are committed to helping those
in the Sauk Prairie area become fully-devoted followers of Christ.

Mission Statement - We strive to develop and multiply fully-devoted followers of
Christ who love God intimately, love believers effectively, and love the lost
compassionately.

Statement of Faith - Our statement of faith mimics the ten-point Statement of
Faith held by the EFCA, with the addition of three more:

The Bible as the inspired word of God is the final authority.

A Biblical belief on marriage, gender, and sexuality.

A Biblical view on the sanctity of life.

Church Government - Our church operates in a congregational form of government and is led by an elder board, consisting of eight men (including two pastors). Congregational
meetings are held three times a year for updates, vision, and any voting required
by members.
