Alpha & Omega Freedom Ministries, Inc.

Wauchula, FL, USA

Alpha & Omega Freedom Ministries, Inc. started as a counseling center and prison ministry in 1988, founded by John & Lorraine Gillespie. Since that time in 2007, Hannah's House Domestic Violence/homeless shelter for women and their children was born.  In 2012, they added a 17-unit apartment complex for homeless women and their children who had some form of income.  The shelter and apartments are a program to help the women get back on their feet emotionally, financially, vocationally and gain better education if they so desire.  Many come with very little and almost no job experience.  We also offer vocational skills training in several areas as well.  We work with local partners such as Career Source Heartland for job opportunities, training, etc. and also the local GED, Adult Education and College for the ladies to get their diploma or degree as desired. We have dedicated volunteers and employees that help us in this process including a Case Manager, Apartment manager, IT/ maintenance manager and a Marketing Manager.  We have a Board that governs us and Administration staff that keep us going.
