In the United States, we come alongside local churches, community organizations and hundreds of individual volunteers to support newly arriving refugee and other immigrant families. Today, we are proud to partner with over 6,000 local churches, and 95,000 volunteers globally to bring hope, healing and transformation to the most vulnerable.
World Relief seeks a Church Mobilizer to fulfill the role of a primarily externally facing position designed to recruit, support, and scale WRC’s partnerships with local churches through consultation, communication, and connection.

Roles & Responsibilities

    • Develop relationships with churches to learn about their ministries and community needs toward benefitting the clients we serve, the church’s ministries, and World Relief.
    • Maintain the church’s information in office-based tracking systems including key contact information for pastoral leadership and church champion(s).
    • Assist Church Mobilization Team in developing and implementing plans for deepening engagement of churches in partnerships with World Relief.
    • Regularly present about work of World Relief in church activities including evening and weekends.
    • Explore ways for churches to partner together in underrepresented communities to expand and grow both ministries.
    • Regularly attending church networks to find ways to maintain/grow relationships with churches and World Relief.

    • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
    • Biblical knowledge and understanding of scriptural basis for work among immigrants
    • Sensitivity to strengths and needs specific to churches in underrepresented communities, and the ability to network within the community.
    • Ability to manage multiple demands and deadlines with flexibility 
    • Basic computer skills required (Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point)

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 
 
·         General office setting. World Relief also offers hybrid and remote schedules for limited positions.
·         Great lengths of time working on computer, reading from computer screen, entering information, standing at copier or fax machine, and some time on the phone or in virtual meetings may be required.
·         Year-end archiving activities involve repeated lifting and bending.
