Bethel Baptist Church has been located in Tyler (Chapel Hill), Texas since 1945. We directly neighbor the local high school and junior high. Bethel is well known for intentional outreach to the next generation and our Chapel Hill community at large. We exist to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ. The manner in which we seek to fulfill our mission is threefold: We are (1) united in the Gospel, (2) centered on Scripture, and (3) focused on the Kingdom. Pastor Gil Lain has been Bethel's lead pastor since 2019. Pastor Gil has been a faithful pastor for 50 years. Stephen Sixtos has been the Associate Pastor since January 2023.
