The Edinburg Christian Church (ECC) is a small, independent, Restoration Movement based Christian church located in Edinburg, Il. Edinburg is a small farming village in northern Christian County approximately 20 minutes from Springfield, 10 minutes from Taylorville, and 40 minutes from Decatur. ECC has historically devoted a lot of its outreach toward the youth of the surrounding town and rural areas. Through generous giving, volunteer support by the congregation and blessings from our heavenly Father, many different youth pastors have made their mark on this area over the years. As jobs have left the area and with the uptick of unchurched broken families moving into the community, the congregation has agreed to make a new effort to get back into the community at as high or even a higher level than ever before to show these families that Christ is the answer to their brokenness.  

        There has been much praying about strengthening the bond between ECC and the people around it. As the most recent full-time pastor at ECC has left the ministry for other pursuits, it has been decided that a Family Life Minister is needed to make inroads between the congregation and the families of this community. If you consider yourself to be an effective communicator that is willing to answer God’s call to be the tip of that relational spear and make an impactful presence in a small town, we’d love to hear from you. This would be a full time position with a competitive salary. A ranch style 3 bedroom parsonage is available as well.
