Average weekly total 5-8 hours. 10,000 per/year.
Overview:
Judson Baptist Church is 100 plus year old church in Oak Park Il. Located at the crossroads of the neighborhoods of Austin, Oak Park and Galewood. We are a congregation of diverse ages, socioeconomics, and ethnic backgrounds. The Director of Music Ministry works in partnership with the JBC pastoral team, leading the worship team and congregation in glorifying God through musical worship.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Oversees worship team and A/V volunteers.
2. Direct the organization and implementation of a comprehensive church music program including choir, vocal and/or instrumental ensembles, and praise dancers.
3. Assist the pastor in planning congregational services of the church and be responsible for selecting the music.
4. Serve as a leader in the worship services, giving direction to the congregational singing, choir, and other phases of worship.
5. Cooperate with the church nominating committee to enlist and train leaders for the church music ministry as well as song leaders and accompanists for church educational organizations.
6. Coordinate the music program with the church calendar and emphases of the church.
7. Lead in maintaining a church music committee, team, or council. Seek input from members in matters such as goal setting, evaluation, and leadership, personnel policies for paid staff, facilities, finance, and administrative procedures.
Preferable Knowledge or Skill Requirements
· B/A degree preferred but not required
· Worship music experience
· Basic Leadership and administrative skills
· Ability to work effectively with diverse members and groups of the staff, church body, community, and external providers
