Duties and Responsibilities:
Work in the CRM database to review member and prospective member records to ensure accuracy and up to date information
Maintain and collect correct emails, phone/fax numbers, websites, etc.
Assist other divisions with member networking events
Prepare collateral as needed to support membership meetings and events

Utilize tools such as Hoovers, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and other platforms to research current and potential members
Enrolled in a 4 year university

As an underwriter, you will be responsible for the analysis of submitted file for Capacity, Capital, Character, Collateral, and Condition. This includes ensuring that loan request meets program and product specifications or counter-offer to different product and/or program when appropriate. Minimum of three years experience as an underwriter

The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) seeks qualified applicants for the position of Associate Director of Employer Relations in the College of Engineering. This position directs, plans and implements the employer development functions for the Engineering Career Center by marketing and expanding UIC’s presence with local, regional and national employers. Participates in the career preparation of undergraduate and graduate students by utilizing best practices and developing strategies and programs for the career preparation of students. Functions as an integral part of the team within the Engineering Career Center, as well as the College of Engineering administrative group. Creates strategies and implements activities to directly increase the number of employers recruiting UIC engineering students for internships and full-time hires.
Promote and generate visibility of the Engineering Career Center with local, regional and national employers. Identify and cultivate employer relationships for the purpose of hiring students and graduates for internships and full-time positions.
Collaborate with college-based career offices in developing strategies for corporate and employer engagement. Serve as liaison to campus and university departments representing the Engineering Career Center.
Attend corporate, alumni, trade show, professional association and other events to cultivate a network of key decision makers.
Collaborate on cross functional department projects and initiate new programming. Solicit and collect feedback from students, professionals, and alumni on career preparation.
Benchmark best practices of career services functions in relation to employer and corporate development.
Secure employers for career fairs, industry days, employer roundtables and other events. Participate as part of the team to implement events.
Develop and teach career preparation workshops and individual class sessions to undergraduate and graduate students.
Work closely with Associate and Assistant Directors on implementation of employer services,
student events and general Center operations.
Plan, assign and review work of staff to ensure that group objectives are met. Hire, train, develop and manage staff to ensure that a qualified staff exists to meet group objectives.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
Job Knowledge & Skills, Education, Experience:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in employer relations and/or career advising.
Knowledge of: Employer relations; Business development; Campus recruitment; Student development; HR functions; Workshop development.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Experience with Data collection software & CRM software preferred.
