At El Ayudante our vision is to change lives and transform communities and our mission is to grow committed followers of Jesus Christ by meeting the needs of our community. We are committed to glorify God through intentional relationships and service to our community. We involve the local community in creating their own solutions to the challenges they face every day physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We aim to empower and not enable by collaborating with families, churches, and local leaders to work as a team to solve the presented needs. We are here for the long term. Although we use the energy of short-term missions teams to meet needs, each activity fits into the larger picture of serving our communities where they need it the most. Because of this consistent involvement, a short-term project is part of a lasting, long-term change.

El Ayudante is a growing ministry, finding new and helpful ways to be active in our communities. Some of our current programs include:

Clinica El Ayudante – an on campus clinic that offers medical, dental, optical, ultrasound and lab services

Water Filters – more than 1000 water filters have been installed to date, bringing clean water to many families and communities

Latrines – more than 200 latrines have been installed to date, bringing sanitary bathrooms to familes

Vacation Bible School programs in many of the local schools

Adobe homes are built for needy families

Centro de Aprenizaje – our Learning Center which supports our 70+ scholarship students with tutoring, computer lab and discipleship

Pastor’s conferences are held several times a year for our local pastors

School & church projects – teams adopt local schools or churches and help with needed projects
