Position Title: Associate Pastor
Reports To: Lead Pastor/Elder Board
Employment Type: Full-time
Purpose
Christ Community Church (CCC) in Waseca, MN is seeking a spiritually mature, Christ-centered, Associate Pastor to support the church’s mission through leadership in discipleship, worship, outreach. This man will be passionate about equipping others, facilitating authentic worship, and advancing the gospel in our church and community.
Qualifications
· Since all pastors at CCC are also elders, they must fulfill the character qualifications in 1 Timothy & Titus.
· Formal Bible or ministry training is required.
· Minimum of 3 years of ministry experience preferred.
· A calling and passion for Gospel-centered ministry.
· Holds or is willing to obtain EFCA credentials.
· Demonstrates a teachable spirit and Christ-like character in speech, behavior, and relationships.
· Agrees to and will comply with CCC’s constitution and statement of faith.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Discipleship & Teaching
· Build and shepherd small groups and adult Bible studies.
· Develop and implement discipleship and evangelism strategies.
· Teach and preach on select Sundays (specific number to be agreed upon annually).
· Equip and encourage the spiritual wellbeing of ministry leaders, volunteers and small group facilitators.
2. Worship Administration
· Coordinate Sunday services with the worship team leader.
· Administrate the preparation for the Sunday services utilizing ProPresenter, SongSelect, Subsplash, and other sound booth systems.
· Train and oversee the sound booth team and visual technology for Sunday services and online presence.
3. Outreach & Community Engagement
· Lead or support outreach initiatives.
· Effectively communicate the mission of CCC using technology and social media.
· Identify and encourage opportunities to build relationships with the unchurched.
· Participate in community activities as a representative of CCC.
General Skills & Abilities
· Strong leadership, organizational, and team-building skills.
· Ability to mentor others in their faith and witness.
· Able to communicate effectively in both large and small settings.
Additional Notes
· Candidate will be part of a pastoral team and have a collaborative heart for ministry.
· Christ Community Church is associated with the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA). We desire this person to be involved in District and National events and conferences as able.

Christ Community Church of Waseca is a growing church of 230 located in southern Minnesota, about an hour south of the Twin Cities. This ministry opening was created by the retirement of our previous associate pastor. We strive to be light, bring hope and build a family in our community.
Our church was incorporated in 1960 and is associated with the Evangelical Free Church of America. We successfully built and relocated to our current building location in 2004 and due to a vibrant, growing kids' ministry finished a necessary addition in 2012.
Waseca is often described as a great place to raise a family. Our city offers a charming, small-town environment, rich in history and outdoor activities, with ease access to our two lakes.
