SEEKING WORSHIP PASTOR/YOUTH PASTOR IN NEW JERSEY

Our Bible-based is seeking a Full Time Worship Pastor/Youth Pastor, to lead and oversee all aspects of worship and youth ministries. 

Whiting Bible Church is located in Southern New Jersey, only an hour and a half from both Philadelphia and New York City. Not only are two great cities easily accessible, but our church is just thirty minutes from the beautiful Atlantic Ocean (we call the Jersey Shore). We are in a beautiful, suburban rural community with farmlands nearby. Our church serves both the local senior (55+) communities as well as families of children who go to the Elementary Schools nearby.


REQUIREMENTS: 

  1. A mature, personal walk with Christ, with a clear and inescapable sense of calling to serve the Lord in the local church. 

  2. At minimum, a bachelor’s degree from a Christian or Bible College, with a major in Worship Arts/Music and/or Youth Ministry

  3. A minimum 4 years’ experience in Church Worship and or Youth Church Ministry 

  4. Musical ability to lead worship in either piano/organ/guitar/ and voice,

  5. Agreement with the doctrines found in Scripture and outlined in our Whiting Bible Church doctrinal statement, at https://wbcnj.org/what-we-believe/, as well as our Constitution and By-laws.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

WORSHIP (15-20 hours per week)

  1. To lead worship for all regular and special services for the church 

  2. Develop worship services that encourage people of various ages, ethnicities, and spiritual backgrounds to participate in worship. 

  3. To recruit, train, and oversee the schedule of people to serve in the worship and tech teams.

  4. Coordinate with the Senior Pastor in preparing worship services 

  5. Regular teaching role in the Sunday adult Bible classes.

YOUTH (10-15 hours per week)

  1. Lead and oversee all aspects of the student ministries for youth in grades 6-12, college age adults. 

    • This includes but is not limited to Sunday Morning Bible Study, Sunday School, midweek youth service on Wednesday night, Vacation Bible School, Camps, Retreats, and other events. 

  2. Create a strategy to disciple students into maturing followers of Christ who can be disciples who make disciples. 

  3. Coordinate outreach events designed to bring students to Christ, and fellowship opportunities for youth to build relationships. 

PASTORAL 

  1. Preaching monthly as well as during Senior Pastor absence.

  2. Support the vision and strategy of the church as set forth by the Senior Pastor

  3. Assist with hospital, home care and outreach visits

  4. Maintain a reputation in the church and community that brings glory to God.

  5. Maintain regular office hours 5 days a week, and fulfill other duties
    as needed by Senior Pastor.

BENEFITS:

  1. Salary range $35,000 - $42,000 based on experience. 

  2. A Parsonage (3 bedrooms, two baths) is provided with full utilities.

  3. Full health insurance with dental is provided. 

  4. 2 days off each week.
