Mitchell Evangelical Free Church is a small close-knit church made up of about 15 families. There are approximately 15 children ranging from toddlers to teenagers and an average pf 40 adults. Nine of these families are members. The church is congregational with the elders and deacons elected from among the church membership. Mitchell E-Free is blessed to be a debt free church with its building free and clear, with land for expansion. Presently there is room to seat approximately 120 in the sanctuary. Besides the sanctuary there is a small library, office, nursery and bathroom on the main floor. There are five classrooms on the lower floor where Sunday school classes are held. The lower floor also offers an open dining/ meeting area and adequate kitchen, as well as two additional restrooms.
There are many opportunities for individuals and families to be involved in our church body with adult Bible studies during the fall and winter and a youth group. Women of the church may be active in women’s ministry services, including hospitality and outreach. A small group fellowship serves the Mitchell Care Center one Sunday a month.
The praise and worship team offers a place for those with musical talents to share. A monthly fellowship dinner is held the first Sunday of every month and a Thanksgiving outreach fellowship dinner each November. The church offers various other outreach opportunities throughout the year.
Mitchell Evangelical Free Church is looking for someone to preach, lead and delegate; a leader with a heart of service for ministering to the church families who desire to be a part of the church’s outreach through visitation and evangelism. Above all, we are looking for someone who has the heart to exhort and serve in a church that is willing and desirous to serve one another, bringing glory and honor to our great and gracious God.
