Classification: Exempt
Objective: To give every international student on the campus the opportunity to hear and respond to the
Gospel, and to disciple them in their faith to prepare them for future ministry.
Reports to: Campus Director, City/Area/County Director, or Regional Field Director in the absence of local
leadership
Supervises: Ministry Representatives and/or Field Interns as specified in the intern proposal

Educational/Experience Qualifications
• College graduate (minimum of a bachelor’s degree is preferred), equivalent secular experience
relevant to position, or equivalent experience in international student ministry required. An
employee who otherwise meets these qualifications but who has little or no prior work experience
will be considered a “trainee” for salary/fundraising purposes for a maximum period of 3 years.
• Clear evidence of a lifestyle of evangelism and discipleship activities
• Ordination or commissioning prior to or as soon as possible after assuming this position is highly
recommended

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. Support the implementation of the ISI national strategic plan on their campus(es) and develop a
complementary campus ministry plan with the Campus Director or supervisor and implement it.
Involved in all aspects of direct ISI ministry to international students and their families, as tasked.
Attract and build relationships with international students, sharing Christ’s love with them.
Develop student leaders and disciple believing international students, preparing them for ministry in their
homeland.
Incorporate volunteers into ministry and coordinate with City Mobilizer to develop partnerships with
churches and pastors.
Develop and maintain relationships with university faculty and staff.
Establish and maintain campus ministry and returnee information reporting systems.
ISI authorizes staff to perform various ministry functions including, but not limited to, leading Bible studies,
praying, leading ICFs, planning, directing, and/or supervising the ministry activities of others, and planning
and developing the content of religious activities or other events and activities with students and other ISI
participants. When appropriate staff may preach and teach the Word of God and perform sacerdotal duties,
such as officiating for baptisms, weddings, funerals, and the administering of Holy Communion.
