Job Title: Student Ministries Internship (Summer)

Effective Date: May- August (12-week commitment) 

General Description: Under the leadership of the Student Ministries Pastor, the intern will be involved in outreach events, Crossroads (Wednesday nights), Ministry trips, Sunday Mornings, etc.  

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 

1. Involved with: Jr. High ministries (7th & 8th grade), Sr. High ministries (9th through 12th grade), Worship, Small groups, Teaching/discipleship, outreach, and student development.  

2. Meet weekly for mentoring with our Student Ministries Pastor on Thursdays.

3. Complete the required reading as outlined by the Student Ministries Pastor. 

Other Responsibilities: 

1. Attend staff meetings and other meetings that would expose the intern to the inner workings of the church. 

2. To maintain an average work week of approximately 45 hours (including all facets of ministry) and to communicate with the secretarial staff his/her whereabouts during office hours. 

3. Regularly attend Sunday morning worship services and a young adult ministry at Faith (e.g. Cross or Mosaic). 

Reports to: The Student Ministries intern is directly responsible and accountable to the Student Ministries Pastor. He/she is to be responsible to the Student Ministries Pastor for monthly performance reviews. 

Salary and Benefits: Housing/utilities plus $3,000 for the 12 weeks 

 Qualifications: 

•  Evidence of a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a heart for Student Ministries. 

•  Enrolled student (second year or further) status in a Bachelor's degree program from a four-year college or university, or current seminary enrollment

•  Demonstrates strengths in: interpersonal/people skills; leadership, management, and administrative skills; communication skills (written and oral); problem-solving skills. 

•  Be in agreement with the doctrinal statement of Faith Bible Church and be willing to abide by the church's by-laws and policies. 

•  Willing to spend time with individual youth and be part of their lives. 

•  Willing to be active in the life of Faith Bible Church. 

•  Their own household must be in order.
