Open Position – Associate Pastor/Director of Worship Arts First Baptist Church, Minot, ND fbcminot.org   General Job Description The Associate Pastor/Director of Worship Arts will assist the Pastoral Staff in the Gospel ministry, provide for the spiritual needs of the congregation, and develop and lead the worship ministry at First Baptist Church for the glory of God in a way that is consistent with our mission, values and theology.  The Associate Pastor/Director of Worship Arts will oversee the worship team and collaborate with the leadership at First Baptist Church.  The Associate Pastor of Worship Arts position is to be ministry-oriented.  This position is full-time, which includes mid-week rehearsals and Sunday services.   Responsibilities Assist the church staff in the planning of the weekly worship services and special events. Oversee the planning, coordination and execution of the worship ministry in our traditional and contemporary services Coordinate the personnel executing the weekly services (e.g., vocalists, musicians, technicians, etc.) Utilize songs that are biblically based and consistent with our mission, values and theology Recruit and train individuals for the worship ministry of the church Assume additional tasks as needed and directed by the Senior Pastor Oversee tech at the church, including the repair and maintenance of all computer issues and sound equipment Church Choir (adult) including the purchase of choral music and other choral groups for youth.   Qualifications Must be a born-again believer who demonstrates a strong commitment to the Lordship of Christ and His Holy Word, and has an intimate relationship with God Commitment to evangelism Appreciation for biblically-based contemporary and traditional worship music Must agree with the North American Baptists’ Statement of Beliefs and Affirmation of Marriage   Skills and Talents Capable vocalist and musician, able to lead with guitar or piano/keyboard Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, Strong organizational skills, creative and innovative Able to maintain composure under pressure Self-starter, able to initiate new ministry and projects Technical abilities in sound, video, and other technology supporting the worship ministry   Character Qualities Spiritual maturity as evidenced by a commitment to Christ and the fruit of the Spirit Servant-leader: a gracious spirit and commitment to serving and helping others Takes initiative to openly communicate with others and resolve conflict in a biblical manner Dependable, flexible and a team player   Education and Experience Undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university A minimum of two years of leading a music ministry   If interested, email resume and reference to: office@fbcminot.org or mail to Pastor/Director of Worship Arts Search Committee, First Baptist Church, 200 3rd St SW, Minot, ND 58701
