Function

·        The primary function of the Minister shall be to plan, prepare and lead Worship services at Williamsville Christian Church.

Accountability

·        The Minister is accountable to the Elders who oversee and evaluate the position.

·        The Minister shall work with the Senior / Lead Minister to plan out the church’s day-to-day operations.

·        The Minister shall be bound by the Job Description and the Staff/Leadership Covenant.

Ministerial Qualifications

·        The Minister shall complete a periodic background check.

·        The Minister shall be, or upon employment take the necessary steps to become, a member in good standing of Williamsville Christian Church (WCC).

·        Be a dedicated Christian who is honest and trustworthy, that will maintain confidentiality at all times.

·        To slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone.  Titus 3:2.

Worship Qualifications

·        The Minister should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an Associate's degree in a relevant field with at least two years' experience in an appropriate field.

o   Relevant certifications will be considered.

·        The Minister shall be a responsible team player, able to carry out directions and instructions given by the leadership.

·        The Minister shall possess the following skills to some degree or be willing to be trained in them:

o   Computer use – the Microsoft Office suite of applications.

Worship Responsibilities

·        Work with the Lead Minister to create well-planned, prayerful worship services.

o   Work with the Elder who oversees the worship ministries regarding issues or concerns pertaining to the worship ministry.  

·        Oversee and coordinate all musical aspects of the worship service.

·        Lead praise band, singers, and congregation in worship at weekly Sunday morning worship services.

·        Rehearsals

o   Lead weekly rehearsal.

o   Lead Sunday morning warmup.

o   Foster a spirit of worship in the worship team.

·        Recruit new vocalists and instrumentalists as needed.

·        Create schedules for worship teams (vocalists and instrumentalists).

·        Coordinate with and oversee the technical team that produces the sound, media, video, and livestream.

·        Utilize lighting and structures to produce stage design seasonally to keep the presentation fresh.
