Christian Heritage Academy is seeking a Middle and Upper School English and Bible Teacher - for the 2026-27 School Year. Prospective candidates are experienced, creative, and highly qualified "Living Curriculum Teachers'' who have a growing relationship with Christ, are excellent in their field, and are capable of inspiring students to reach their God-given potential. In addition to a personal faith in Christ Jesus, prospective candidates should hold an Illinois Professional Educator License or be willing to pursue certification through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

Requirements   

The requirements for the position of Teacher are as follows: 

1. Follower of Jesus Christ, who seeks to live all of life under His Lordship.

2. Spiritual maturity, with academic and leadership abilities that will enable him/her to teach all truth as God’s truth.

3. A demonstrated commitment to the Christian faith as outlined in the Academy’s Statement of Faith and active participation in a local church congregation.

4. A demonstrated heart for the mission of Christian Heritage Academy and the advancement and development of Christian education, with a clear understanding of biblical integration across all subject areas and a passion for implementing it in an educational setting.

5. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably with a major or concentration in education or related field.

6. Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience preferred.

7. An ability to maintain discretion and absolute confidentiality.

8. Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to maintain a courteous and respectful attitude in all situations.

9. The ability and desire to work in a team-oriented environment in a supportive, transparent and solution-driven fashion.

10. Proficiency in Google Suite and other relevant educational technology.

Salary Range: LS -  $38,000-$55,000;    MS/US - $38,000-$63,000
Compensation is determined by a number of factors such as education, experience, and skills.
