Peoples Church (https://peopleschurchhome.com) seeks a Spirit Led Pastor to Lead Our Congregation

The Church

Founded in 1890 and located in a rural north central Massachusetts community, we are a congregation of believers who rely on the Bible as our primary source of guidance. We are affiliated with the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference (4 C’s). Our  congregation is a family of approximately 80 Christians.
Our mission is to love God, love others, and make disciples of Jesus Christ, all to God’s glory,(Matt 22:37-38; Matt 28:19; Isa 43:7). We aspire to welcome, support and encourage all in their walk in faith.

Our Vision:

We are seeking a pastor who will:

·      Provide spiritual leadership and guidance to our congregation.

·      Nurture a loving and supportive church family.

·      Deliver engaging and biblically sound sermons.

·      Offer compassionate pastoral care to individuals and families.

·      Inspire us to deepen our faith and live out God's love in our daily lives.

·      Work collaboratively with church leadership and members.

Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

·      Leading worship service.

·      Ministering to the needs of the church.

·      Providing pastoral care, including visitation, counseling, and spiritual guidance.

·      Overseeing the spiritual growth and discipleship of the congregation.

·      Working with the Elders and other committees to enrich the life of the church.

·      Officiating at wedding and funerals.

·      Engaging with the local community and representing the church in community events.

Qualifications:

·      Must abide by Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.

·      A deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ.

·      A passion for preaching, teaching, and pastoral care.

·      Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

·      A heart for serving others and building a strong church community.

·      Preferably not less than an undergraduate degree from an accredited college, university or Bible college or equivalent experience.

·      Preferably at least five (5) years of pastoral experience.

The Compensation

Total Package: $70,000 plus $2,000 Sign on Bonus
