Job Description: Student Ministries Director/Pastor

Position Description — Serve the students, families, and volunteers of Hutto Bible Church by providing vision, oversight, and pastoral care for Student Ministry. This role recruits, equips, encourages, and shepherds leaders and students (middle and high school), training them to walk with God, live on mission, and grow as disciples of Jesus. The Student Ministries Pastor partners closely with the Family Pastor to develop and implement programming for teen spiritual formation and to equip parents for family discipleship.

Ministry Experience Requirements: Three or more years of ministry experience working with teenagers.

Educational Requirements: (Minimum) Must have completed or be in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Bible, theology, pastoral ministry, or equivalent discipline.

In 2007, Hutto was a relatively small, rural community. At the time, the population was ~11,400 people. By 2025, the population of Hutto had grown to ~46,000, making Hutto one of the fastest growing communities in the state of Texas! In addition to its proximity to Austin, Hutto continues to provide increasing opportunities for families to live, work and play in their community—likewise, with the increasing number of families coming from all over the world to Hutto there is an increasing need to make and mobilize disciples of Jesus!
