Job Description/Ministry Position: Senior Pastor
Responsible To: KMCC Board of Elders
Compensation: Salaried (Based on experience)

Purpose:
To work with the elders and pastoral staff of KMCC to affirm and safeguard the Biblical doctrines of KMCC. To work with the elders and pastoral staff of KMCC to carry out the purpose and vision of KMCC by providing discipleship, direction, and care for the KMCC church family. Healthy spiritual stewardship of KMCC will contribute to the fulfilling of our purpose received from Christ to proclaim the Gospel locally and worldwide, to disciple believers in the Word of God, and to train them for ministry.
Responsibilities:
Active participation in:
Teaching and preaching the Word of God.
Preach at least 3 of 4 Sundays a month.
Shepherd the church family, in matters of counseling, baptisms, funerals, weddings, visitations and other life events.
Preside as chairman of the Teaching Team:
Along with the oversight of the Elder Board, guide the progression of biblical content that will be taught.
Mentor the Teaching Team in biblical study and teaching methods.
Assist the Elder Board in evaluating and recommending biblical curriculum to be used in children's, women's and men's ministry areas.
Plan all things pertaining to the Sunday worship service each week.
Assist the elders in providing direction, vision, and setting goals for the church.
Provide oversight and guidance to assigned ministry teams of KMCC.
Coaching and mentoring of other pastoral staff so that they further develop the various shepherding skills and acumen required in the role of a pastor.
Meet with the elders and other pastors of KMCC for personal accountability.
General pastoral administrative tasks.
Requirements:
Meets the qualifications of an elder as described in the Word of God (1 Tim. 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9). Shepherds the church in accordance with the Word of God (1Peter 5:2-3)
Manages time wisely. Recognizes the importance of a healthy personal and family life to effective ministry. Is mindful to protect the time dedicated to their spouse and children, maintaining a healthy balance in life with family and ministry.
Agrees with and abides by KMCC’s doctrinal statement.
Able to communicate Biblical Truth in a manner that is both understandable and clear to assist others in their growth and maturity in Christ. Able to communicate clearly, honestly, and tactfully. Able to effectively listen and understand others and respond to others in a gracious and helpful way.
Is skilled in both written and verbal communication.
Exhibits a teachable spirit, continuing to grow in his understanding of the Word, leadership principles, and in understanding and relating to people. Able to identify areas of growth in his life. Accepts input from others, recognizing that he also needs others to speak into his life.
Demonstrates respect for others and communicates with diplomacy.
Uses discretion when receiving or conveying sensitive information.
Pursues unity with as a humble servant of peace. Values the contributions of others and seeks to compliment the overall ministry of KMCC.
Must be able to process, organize, and execute a wide variety of communication, information, and tasks.
Consistent and reliable to fulfill numerous responsibilities and ministry expectations.
Bachelor’s degree required (Biblical Studies, Biblical Language, Biblical Preaching, Theology)
Master’s degree preferred (Mdiv, Biblical Preaching, Theology, Biblical Counseling)
3-5+ years of Pastoral experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or other communication and data management tools used by KMCC is desirable.

We are a small rural church in southeastern Wisconsin. The church is located on Hwy. 59, just outside of the village of North Prairie in beautiful Waukesha County.
Our purpose as a church is to faithfully proclaim the whole counsel of God in order to bring to maturity and equip his people for the work of His ministry and to build up the body of Christ, both locally and globally.
We are looking for a full-time Pastor who:
• Can skillfully and accurately teach the Word of God.
• Can guide this congregation in a Spirit-controlled, godly way.
• Is passionate about the Word, not only to know it and to teach it, but also to live it
out in his own life.
• Is willing to lead by example, displaying servanthood.
