The applicant should be both passionate about cultivating student affection for the beauty of language and literature and skilled at preparing students to read, speak, and write proficiently in English.
Required Qualifications
A strong testimony of Christian faith.
A Bachelor’s degree in Literature, English, or a related field.
Experience teaching middle and/or high school students is preferred.
Collaborate with fellow faculty members and be willing to serve as a contributing member of our school community.
Possess a sound knowledge of the English language, proper grammar and grammar rules, literature, and proper writing.
Have an engaging approach, recognizing that students learn in a variety of ways.
Be a motivator, finding creative ways to assist students in their individual learning capacities.
Be constantly learning and developing his/her approach and skills.
Demonstrate ability to work independently.
Be able to manage multiple tasks.
Essential Functions:
Help students develop their ability to read and analyze great pieces of literature.
Motivate students to participate and engage in learning.
Develop an engaging and interactive classroom learning environment.
Use innovative instructional methodologies to conduct classes in a proactive, stimulating manner.
Develop lesson plans to ensure student development and academic success.
Maintain a clean, disciplined environment that upholds school policies.
Perform student assessment.
Maintain grades and assignments on Renweb.
Communicate with parents.
Work effectively with colleagues and administration.
