A welcoming family in Chicago's Ravenswood neighborhood is seeking a dependable and organized Family Assistant to help keep afternoons and evenings running smoothly. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting busy families and is comfortable balancing childcare, household organization, and errands.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday
- Start time: 3:30 PM
- End time varies between 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM, depending on the children's activities
- Average of 15+ hours per week, with occasional later evenings as needed
- Start date 8/28/26, end date 6/28/26
Responsibilities:
- Drive two teenagers (ages 14 and 17) to and from local school activities and appointments
- Provide homework supervision and support when needed
- Assist with family laundry and dishes
- Help prepare or serve dinner
- Run household errands
- Maintain an organized and tidy home environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Be:
Reliable and punctual
Professional and proactive
Organized with strong time management skills
A clear and dependable communicator
Comfortable driving teens to local activities
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required. A family vehicle will be provided for all driving responsibilities.
