East Marion Baptist Church is a small rural church located five miles east and one mile north of Deckerville, Michigan with an average attendance of 30. The population of Deckerville is approximately 900 residents located in Sanilac County. Deckerville is located just ten minutes inland from Lake Huron.
The pastor; as overseer, shall provide leadership and direction for the church, by serving as the spiritual and administrative leader of it. He shall preach the Gospel with the aim of making converts and teach the Bible. He must administer the Ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper. The pastor must have a genuine love for Jesus Christ that compels him to minister to both members of the church as well as persons in the community. He will do this through sound Biblical preaching, teaching, counseling, and personal relationships. He will minister to the spiritual needs of the church.
