The President and CEO of Guido Bible College reports to the Board of Trustees and provides overall leadership, management, and personal involvement in advancing the Association’s mission of evangelism, discipleship, and service. The ideal candidate is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ who wholeheartedly embraces evangelical faith, biblical authority, hands-on ministry preparation, and a passion for sharing the Gospel.
Candidates should hold a master’s or doctoral degree in theology, ministry, education, or a closely related field (terminal degree strongly preferred). A minimum of ten years of senior leadership experience is required, preferably guiding Christian colleges, or faith-based nonprofits. Proven success in building and mentoring leadership teams, prudent financial oversight, inspiring philanthropic support, and effective collaboration with governing boards is essential.
The President must be an effective communicator—both written and oral—capable of delivering clear, persuasive messages through sermons, teaching, devotionals, media, and public presentations. Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and a shepherding leadership style are vital for building meaningful relationships with students, faculty, donors, and board members.
Experience in ministry growth and resource development is required, including designing programs that cultivate partnerships with individuals, churches, and organizations, and securing significant donor support. Particular emphasis is placed on ministry to prisoners, demonstrating deep knowledge of prison culture and overseeing evangelistic and educational outreach. That emphasis includes a ministry to veterans, offering spiritual comfort, hope, and community through thoughtful, encouraging content.
Familiarity with post-secondary education, curriculum development, faculty recruitment, student life, accreditation standards, and media-centered approaches (digital engagement, online learning and publishing) is highly valued. Above all, the candidate must model Christlike character, moral integrity, and the fruit of the Spirit while avoiding partisan political involvement.

The Guido Evangelistic Association (also known as Guido Ministries) began in Metter, GA in 1957. What began as a radio ministry on one station in Vidalia, GA grew to well over 500 stations at one time. From the radio ministry, a television ministry began that at one time produced “A Seed for the Garden of Your Heart,” that was the sign-off program of 97% of the TV stations in America.
From the radio and TV programs, a devotional booklet entitled “A Seed from the Sower” was published. Eventually, the name of the devotional was changed to “Seeds of Hope” and there are now over 3,400 Seeds available for publication in this monthly devotional.
Our present ministry now includes Guido Bible College, a prison ministry, a ministry to Veterans’ Health Care Facilities, and a mailing list of 3,500 people who receive the Seeds each month. We currently send over 20,000 “Seeds of Hope” to over 400 prisons each month. We also have a Christian Studies Institute which trains Prisonaries – prisoners to become missionaries in prison like the Apostle Paul. This program is comprised of four sections addressing different topics of what being a Christian means. We also send out a special newsletter for prisoners titled “Transformed,” which enables inmates to show the power of Christ to transform lives.
Our college, which began 16 years ago, is specifically designed for bi-vocational students enabling them to learn and lead effectively within their own local communities. We have placed over 25 pastors in churches in the area. Our student enrollment comes from the 360 churches within a 60-mile radius of Metter. Our faculty comes from local pastors and public-school teachers. We have no full-time faculty members, with all teachers considered a specialist or uniquely qualified resource in teaching the subject matter.
Guido Gardens features sparkling fountains, winding pathways and beautiful trees and flowers that encourage one to walk with God. The Prayer Chapel, located in a corner of Guido Gardens, is open 24 hours a day for quiet reflection, prayer, and meditation. It has become a regional resource for people who want to find a refuge in the quietness of God’s creation.
