Position: Associate Student Pastor
Status: Part-Time (Approximately 20 hours per week; Sundays, Tuesdays and either Wednesday or Fridays)

Reports to: Student Pastor

Position Summary

The Part-Time Associate Student Pastor serves alongside the Student Pastor to help create a welcoming environment where middle and high school students can grow in their faith and build meaningful relationships. 

Key Responsibilities

• Help build community among students, lead student small groups and help new students get connected

• Pastor students; this may include meeting with them individually (i.e. over coffee), occasionally attending their extra-curricular events, and being available to support them as needed

• Build relationships with students, parents, volunteer leaders, and church staff to foster a healthy ministry culture

• Assist in planning, organizing, and executing student ministry events, camps, etc.

• Coordinate the worship portion of weekly gatherings; the ability to lead worship vocally and coordinate a student band is a plus

• Manage the student ministry’s social media accounts

Qualifications

• A growing, personal relationship with Jesus 

• Passion for helping middle and high school students grow in their faith and build relationships

• Strong relational, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to lead worship vocally and/or instrumentally is a bonus

• Experience serving in student ministry is preferred
