Church Overview

We are a Baptist church seeking a passionate, visionary, and spiritually grounded Pastor to help lead our church into its next season of growth and impact. We are looking for a leader who honors biblical principles while also understanding the importance of helping the church evolve, connect with today’s generation, and remain effective in today’s world.

Our goal is to grow spiritually, increase membership, strengthen community outreach, and modernize ministry efforts while staying rooted in the Word of God.

Position Summary

The Pastor will serve as the spiritual and visionary leader of the church by preaching and teaching the Gospel, providing pastoral care, developing ministry leaders, and creating a forward-thinking vision for church growth and engagement.

We are specifically seeking a Pastor who can help the church “catch up with the times” by bringing fresh ideas, modern ministry approaches, stronger community engagement, and strategies that help attract and retain members across multiple generations while remaining biblically sound.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of pastoral or ministry experience preferred
• Graduate theological degree required
• Familiarity with Baptist doctrine and church structure
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Bible
• Strong preaching, teaching, and leadership abilities
• Visionary mindset with the ability to lead growth and change
• Comfortable incorporating modern outreach, communication, and ministry strategies
• Ability to connect with both older and younger generations
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver impactful weekly sermons and Bible teaching
• Lead weekly worship services and overall church operations
• Perform pastoral duties including baptisms, funerals, weddings, communion, counseling, and visitation
• Facilitate and support meetings with auxiliaries and ministry groups
• Develop and execute a long-term vision for spiritual growth, membership growth, and community impact
• Help modernize church engagement, outreach efforts, and ministry development
• Build stronger community presence both inside and outside the church
• Mentor and develop ministry leaders and volunteers
• Work collaboratively with church leadership to move the church forward spiritually and operationally

Compensation

This is a full-time pastoral leadership role. The church is currently in a rebuilding and growth phase, and compensation will initially reflect the church’s present financial capacity through salary support and love offerings/love tokens. Candidates should understand that supplemental income or bi-vocational employment may be necessary during this stage as the ministry continues to grow and expand.
