Outreach is hiring a Part-time Administrative Assistant within Outreach Transitional Housing to support the Director of Transitional Housing and Jubilee Village program and assist with related administrative duties.

Responsibilities:
The Part-time Administrative Assistant maintains all paperwork, receipts, records, and invoices for building maintenance in a timely manner.
The Part-time Administrative Assistant performs administrative duties for the Transitional Housing Director, including drafting documents, form creation, filing, photocopying, running reports in agency database, and data entry as requested.
The Part-time Administrative Assistant maintains proper data entry and accounting with resident payment accounts in Excel and runs reports in Apricot, the agency’s database, to support grant compliance.
The Part-time Administrative Assistant engages with volunteers, prospective volunteers, residents, and prospective residents in a positive and supportive manner.
The Part-time Administrative Assistant sends out and/or prints out announcements that pertain to the whole building as needed, including coordinating basement room schedules for team meetings and training.
The Part-time Administrative Assistant maintains supply levels and purchases for offices and storage rooms.
Schedule: Part-time. An average of 15-20 hours/week. Scheduled within Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM.
Qualifications:
HS Diploma or BA/BS Degree in nonprofit administration, business, or a related field.
At least 2 years of administrative experience.
Previous community development or transitional housing outreach work.
A relational and flexible style, and self-motivated. Strong organizational skills.
Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/Outlook. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and take responsibility for a variety of projects.
Sensitivity to the needs of low-income and diverse populations.
Valid Illinois driver’s license, good driving record, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation.
