POSITION OVERVIEW
SALT (Serve and Learn Together) is a Christian young adult summer residential program designed for individuals ages 18–23 who desire to grow in their faith, live in an intentional Christian community, and gain meaningful work experience.
SALT Staff Members serve at Green Lake Conference Center from June 7 through August 9, 2026. Participants begin with on-site training and then serve throughout the summer in operational roles while engaging in structured spiritual formation and leadership development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Service & Work Experience
SALT Staff Members serve in essential campus roles, including:

Housekeeping

Dining Services

Groundskeeping
Staff work collaboratively to support conferences, retreats, and guests while maintaining excellence in hospitality and service.
Spiritual Formation & Leadership Development
In addition to daily work responsibilities, SALT participants engage in:

Gospel communication training

Bible studies

Leadership development sessions
-
Intentional Christian community living
The program is designed to strengthen participants’ faith, character, and leadership skills through both service and discipleship.

LOCATION AND ENVIRONMENT
SALT is based at Green Lake Conference Center, a lakeside retreat spanning over 900 acres of woods, trails, and shoreline in Green Lake, Wisconsin. During free time, staff enjoy access to:

About Green Lake Conference Center
Green Lake Conference Center (GLCC) is a Christian retreat and conference center located on 900+ acres along the shores of Green Lake, Wisconsin. For over 75 years, GLCC has been a place where individuals, families, churches, and organizations gather to rest, grow, and encounter God through retreats, conferences, and camps.
SALT (Serving and Learning Together) is GLCC’s Christian young adult summer residency program. SALT participants live and work on-site for nine weeks, gaining hands-on leadership experience in hospitality, ministry, and retreat operations while growing spiritually in intentional community. It’s a paid summer opportunity with free room and board designed to develop faith, character, and professional skills in a Christ-centered environment.
